RAM JI
Lord Rama, one of the most revered deities in Hinduism, is regarded as the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu and the epitome of dharma (righteousness). His life and teachings are immortalized in the ancient Indian epic Ramayana, composed by the sage Valmiki. Lord Rama is celebrated for his unwavering commitment to truth, justice, and compassion, earning him the title Maryada Purushottama (the perfect man).
Born in the royal family of Ayodhya to King Dasharatha and Queen Kaushalya, Rama's life is a symbol of the ideal son, husband, and ruler. His exile of 14 years, along with his wife Sita and brother Lakshmana, showcases his dedication to fulfilling his father’s promise, even at great personal cost. During his exile, Rama defeated the demon king Ravana, who had abducted Sita, demonstrating his courage, devotion, and adherence to dharma.
Rama's story conveys profound spiritual and moral lessons, emphasizing values like humility, loyalty, and selflessness. His legacy continues to inspire millions through the celebration of festivals like Ram Navami and Dussehra and through countless adaptations of the Ramayana across literature, theater, and art. For many, Lord Rama is a divine guide for leading a virtuous and fulfilling life.
